peppermint cross ?

okk so 4 days ago the eggs in my male peppermints cave were kicked out so i put them in a egg tumbler and they have now hatched but i dont know who the mother is :lol: there is l333s. common long fins and some whiptails.. but i really dont think they layed the eggs .. any help with what they might be would be great

lol imagine if for once we down under in oz have the first longfin peppermint
i dought they did but fingers crossed put up a pic of there eggs!

That would be mad. I never got a pic of the eggs but he is in there fanning eggs again:clap: I'll see how he goes if he kicks these eggs out I'll get a pic. With the ones I got a photo of there's about 50 fry I like the smilie faces they have on there back lol

looks like pepp fry to me... especially after you mentioned the smiley faces... i always remember my first pepp spawn some 5 years ago.... by their smiley pattern!!!
nah theres no pep female there in the other tank i only seperated the male pepp from the rest because he was fighting with the other males.. but there is a female orange spot in with the single male pepp ...

well i've only ever heard of this happening once ever.... and i dont know how true the report is!....

male pep x female orange spot...... rule of thumb is this wont happen as they are different fish.... but with some info and pics from you maybe you can convince us its happened.....
