If anyone has other suggestions for feeding this I'd appreciate them..

Bell pepper is off the menu.. untouched for 2 days so I removed it.

So far he's only eating peas, algae wafers and bogwood for 'veg' and he'll eat king prawn and mussel too.
I think he has a nibble on the catfish pellets and JBL Grano pellets that I feed the others.

Or is that varied enough for him?

hummm, he turned down zucchini ! ok did you leave the skin on and up when you put it in the tank ? I have to leave the skin side up for my blues...just a thought . also, brocalli, but i never use is as it stinks up the tank, but tried it once and they sucked all the green out of it, looked like cauliflower in the morning....
another suggestion is try the veggies again but slice it a bit and stick a small pc of food he is eating in the slit...he may not realize the veggies you are offering are food yet. 2 days is too long imo to leave food in the tank, just try smaller amounts and remove in the am , replace with fresh...he'll figure it out , just keep trying. and you are right i think about not much protien, can cause bloat in veggie eating plecs.

if u try the suggestion of a slicing the center of the veggie and sticking the known food in it, he will accidently get a taste of the veggie whlie rasping on the other food and he should realize the veggie is food. For bell peppers, skin side down . Good luck . let us know how its going . hth

I only leave the harder veg in for 2 days (well, 2 nights, actually.. it goes in one evening and I remove it 2 mornings later - but if it starts to look manky at any point I remove it)

Picked up some baby Zucchini, this is much easier to have the skin uppermost than tyhe bigger stuff.

If that doesn't get him onto it (bearing in mind he was eating this and mango in the previous keepers tank), I'll wedge in some algae wafers and see what gives..

He comes straight out to feed on wafers, peas, prawn and mussel and I don't see him munching on the bogwood so much now.

Double good news to share this morning!!...

The L137 (previously only glimpses of tail fin seen) came out and scoffed the Baby Zucchini last night.. not bothered by my peering in through the glass, he was feasting!!..

And, this morning, while (still) amazed at how much 137 had (and still was) eating, 200 came out, darted around at about a millions miles an hour and settled on the veg for a good ol' scoff..

Aaaaaaaand breathe.. :D
