Prawns Cooked or Raw?

Im keeping 1 x L134 and 3 x L270 atm mate and when I do feed them the prawns I make it the only meal they have for that day, but when I feed the zuccini I add a few wafers in with it, so I might try making it their only meal for that day too. I'm finding that my eartheaters are trying to eat the prawn and zuccini (because of the garlic guard perhaps) more than any of the catfishes who it was intended for.

The plecos do take a little bit off the zuccini but only the tiniest of amounts, so I might try sticking a wafer in it next time and I might try just feeding them the zuccini for a week too and see if that encourages them to have more of a go at it.

With the prawns, do some omnivores like mine just not like the meaty foods even though they probably should?

Thanks for your reply Lornek8.

L134 & L270 are primarily meat eaters so the fact that they don't necessarily eat veggies isn't much to worry about. Could be that they just don't have a chance to eat the prawns if the other fish are after it as well.

Okie dokes, well I wont get too upset if they aren't super keen for the zuccini. But with the prawns, I always serve them just before lights out and the other fish do try to eat the prawns for a little while but don't have the right mouths/teeth to really eat them, so I don't think that they would be stopping them. The eartheaters try to nibble on the prawns because of the strong garlic scent on them but after a while and when the lights go out they give up trying to eat them.

So I think they might just not be to keen for the prawns at this point in time but I will keep trying to get them to eat some.

I tried the prawn again soaked in garlic guard but no luck. When I checked it in the morning the eartheaters were the only fish eating it since it had softened up overnight. It's a bit disappointing as I want to give them a varied diet but I guess there is not alot more I can do about it really ay.
