Does anyone keep these? if so what are they like and would a 30 litre nano tank be suitable or too small?

I keep them they are interesting to watch grow too approx 1.5 in will be fine in a 30L needs to be planted and with a well fitted lid as the jump out of aquariums very easily. They don't breed in freshwater so will not cross breed with other shrimp

cool, thanks Jo. The lid may be a problem as its a dennerle tank, just has a bit of glass with gaps round it, might be able to sort something out though.

I just did a search as i have never herd of these, and that has to be the funniest looking shrimp. Is there a purpose to the rostrum like appendage?

They're a native over here, the ones here do breed in freshwater. 30L sounds fine for them

Thanks guys, might have to give them a miss if they are going to escape or get some for my bigger tanks which are covered.
