Hi

I have a few rock that have come from a tank that had quite a few snails in it.:wb:

I would like to put them in my new tank but i dont want any critters that have stayed on them getting in!

I have had them in a bucket for the last few days and have been adding boiling water to it. What i was wondering is there anyway that i can know for certain that ive killed them all ie by adding something that isnt going to harm my plecs after i put the rocks in the tank?

Cheers
Paul

Thanks for the responses. I will added some salt to the cauldron and then dilute the wood and rocks afterwards.
You say dechlorinated water-can I use the normal water I use for my tank?

Bung it in an old pan and simmer for as long as you dare (you dont want it to crack)

personally I'd avoid chemicals and just use boiling water...
