Role reversal - L134 female Trapping a male.

I currently have a fat little L134 female trapping a large male.

I've only ever seen Males holding females in the cave, but this little 6.5cm female is calmly sitting inside the entrance of the cave whilst the male is trapped within.

If somehow she spawns it would be my first double spawn as I've got another male on his 6th day of sitting on some eggs for his first time.

Anyone else seen this female trapping male behaviour?

New Development... FFM

This morning I found that 2 fat females are now in there with the male. He's at the back and they are definitely not allowing him to leave. They are not fanning, they are just sitting still.

I'd hate to loose one of these females now to fighting or starvation. I feel like I should move them. :dk:

I'll wait for some second opinions on this before I do anything though.

they wont starve for quite some time so leave for several days first.
is it possible that one of your females is a male and they are after the same cave? they are very hard to sex!!

Hi,

I find them very easily sexable when up close to them.

The second female departed, and the male swapped position with the original female. His hairy tail is now visible at the cave entrance.

There's a lot happening in this tank at the moment. Lots of fanning and jostling for caves.

At this stage I'm pretty sure this second pair will spawn. And hopefully a third in the same tank.
