Took some pictures of my Geophagus Tapajos Red Heads today <3

This is a starting pair with the best future. The male has 2 other females he attends to but that never works out at the end. With this female he has had eggs and has kept the eggs for a week in his mouth, no fry yet so far. Stil learning :)

Female left

Breeding male

1 of the females out of season...

2de Male, he's much bigger <3

2 More pictures but taken with flash

Thanks :)

I have a 500L tank in the livingroom. That's were these live. It's a SA tank with discusfish, these Geo's and some Lnumbers and corydoras. In a couple of months I will be receiving my 3 meter tank to replace the 500L one :woohoo:

And I have a breeding rack in the shed. That's were I breed my Lnumbers  That would be about 2500L of water  About 10 tanks.

Zombie fry, now 2 weeks old and doing great :)
I took the shot just before I did maintenance on the tank. I saw the fry in the cave and caught them on film first. So don't worry about the pooh please...

geos are usually great parents and look after there fry very well.

but i personally think discus are the best to watch caring for fry, just they are a bit more work than everything else.
