Haha thanks guys, only about 5 was fertilized first batch and only 4 survived as i accidently killed 1 when taking wood out and it dropped under the fake plants.

But yer i never gave them their own tank till now and a week later magic happened again woo!!

hey Irene,

its just a personal preference that I choose to take the babies away from the dad as I have found its easier for me to look after the babies (higher survival rate of babies)

also it enables dad to get ready for his next mating session =)

but this is what i use to do do with my pepp colony, worked a treat

babies all seem great at the moment, all 17 are still absorbing their egg yolk and looking healthy

I only once tried to take the eggs off my male zebra because I know he would cull them so from about 10 eggs only 2 or 3 would eventually emerge. but in trying to get the eggs all he did was wedge himself in the cave and block them from falling out, then none survived so I did not try again! I got a few caves with removable lids but none of my plecs seem to like them , they prefer round caves or irregular shapes!
