Well yesterday I was having a big fish move around day and taking some juvi albino bn's out of a growing up tank to move them to a bigger breeding tank with another group of slightly older albino's from a different blood line.
So the youngest juvi's I was moving are about 3-4 months old and even the biggest is only about 4 cm long. I start catching them all and move a log out of the way only to find about 15 eggs and the male who was fanning them that had vanished for a couple of days comes shooting out. balls....
Anyway I've scooped the eggs and stuck them in a tumbler but not holding my hopes up for survival of any. The thing is though I thought this set of bn's were far far far too young to even be ready to lay. The males are only just starting to display their bristles they're probably only 1-2mm long at the moment.
Sods law since the older group has fully developed males and females haven't had a single spawning yet
anyway now they're all moved around in to a larger tank thats more suited hopefully we'll have some more spawnings soon
