Hi all

Can anyone give me feedback on water meters and fish keeping, please?
I've just learnt where I live will be metered sometime next year.
I've got 6 tanks on the go...

Thanks

only a problem if you run a lot of RO . so that depends on if the house has hard or soft water, if you can have some rain butts then should be ok

Hi We have 26 tanks with 1 being 150 gallon and another being 100 gallons, plus various size tanks, we are on a water meter and we run our own Ro system and can store up to 100 gallons of water 50 gallon RO and 50 Gallon HMA(which we use the waste RO water), we dont find it too bad being on a water meter, as we do about 150 gallons of water changes per week. Which is equivilant to 3 x 50 gallons water butt you use to collect rain water

We use RO and found by putting on extra membranes you don't waste so much water, and with us having HMA tank we help reduce the waste RO water by using this for the HMA tanks, we are also going to put another mebrane on to further reduce the amount of waste RO water
