Hi,

Loricariidaes don´t kill frys. If Loricariidaes feed others, then the others died before.
Tetras (in size of Hyphessobrycon erythrostigma and greater) are a greater risk for the fry.

Greetings
Elko

I've seen many hobbyists post pics and videos of fry and adults living together with no issues

IME though some types actively hunt little fish and eat them.
My old group of L-91 wiped out my Endlers and I caught them doing this at night.
Others have said that they feed cichlid fry to their adult hypans and they also hunt them down.

My scobis actively hunt crayfish and snails. They actually break through the snail shell and chew them out.

eat everything but their own fry and similar fry as i lost a few 134 wrigglers in 333 tank and have since found them grown up at 3-4cm :)

i have seen peppermint b/n activelt hunt small fry that sleep close to the bottom of the tank at night :)

i have shrimp in with my zebs and they keep shrimp numbers from exploding... :)
but you do some some smaller ones making it up the rank to adult size...

vampire plecos though smashed the shrimp population down a bit recently... must of got the taste for them :)

Ah ok, thanks. Its his first time breeding and I don't want to take his wrigglers as he's doing a great job looking after them atm. There are plenty of spots for the fry to hide in when they emerge.
Zeb fry can suction on so well I would end up scaring the heck out of dad if I try to steal the fry and its taken ages for him to pick out just the right cave to breed in the first place.

Thought I would share just how tiny fry are when they emerge from dads log. So tiny my camera had trouble focussing.

My pride and joy which must have been born months ago and I didnt notice.

Plecos will not eat their own young but the young ones of other species they might. I cannot say from personal experience but I would not rule it out either. I keep gammarus shrimp with L174s and L46s and the shrimp colony holds his own but there are tons of it in the tank. I also keep male RCS with L211s and L340s and the same is true. However, some plecos are carnivores, some are omnivores and that means if they come upon an easy meal they will eat it.
