im not sure how long they took to hatch, i only noticed the male fanning 3 days before i found fry but other spawns i have had from them took 5 days

5 days is good, my ones take about 9 days to hatch.

My temperature might have been a bit on the low side though, I will bump the temp up a couple degrees and see how I go on the next batch.

really impressed, I have never had much luck with fry savers (but I wonder if the few kicked out eggs I get sometimes were kicked out cos not health or something anyway.

yes temp is fairly important and affects growth rate. If too high it is low in oxygen, if too low they get cold. I also read that the sex of the young can be afected so at either extreem you might get mainly one sex (not sure which-lol)

fry update, the little uns are coming on nicely now,they have a body length of around 1.5 cm 2cm including the tail. what size do they need to be before i can think about advertising them for swaps for other plecs

My L134 usually go around 2½ to 3cm total length and travel well at that size :yes:

Congrats Dave, they are really going well now.
I haven't gotten my L066 to spawn yet but on L002 and L397 fry to 3cm is fine to sell to a quite experienced pleco keeper or 4cm is really hardy for the less experienced.
