One of my boys has a girl trapped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

I know its early days and a lot can go wrong but I couldn't help but post about it. I am so excited!!!!

How long is the usual time for the girl to be trapped?

he could have her trapped for anything from a few hours to well over a week, every fish is different

how long since your last waterchange? if its been a while, and they have been trapped for a day or so, try a small cool waterchange

they could be trapped for a day or a few days depending on how they feel and if the female is ready or not..

i have had males trapping females and playing tag for weeks on end before a spawn....
sometimes the female is getting out or being let out at night when your alseep and before you wake up is re-trapped... giving you the perception its been trapped in there all night....
i have had 204's trapping on/off constantly for over 6 mths.... i just ignore them now.... was getting so excited first few times... now its like "oh they are in the cave again....so what!!!"

Just thought I would update everyone.... Little miss is out of the cave and (poss) dad is still in there.
