you would be doing a great service if you sold the for £10 each ( the babies ) i know you would get loads of interest in them plus i think a breeder should try to breed fish that are hard to get hold of as it means other that can not get them or have not got the cash for are able to get them cos of fish breeders - you got any photos

hi there mate i have 2 wigglers at the mo i had a problem with the eggs i came back after goin out for the day and they were being thrown around the breeding trap from the force of the air stone and some of the eggs started to turn i have put all this down to part of the learning the ways but on the other hand iv been told im lucky cos normally the first spawn are infertile so i would be happy with one but even happier with the two if they survive i will keep you posted on how they do

Good to hear you got a couple at least :woohoo:

At £20 a pop I'll stick with breeding trap under spraybar of filter for now unless tumblers really do increase hatching rate :dk:

I don't know how much difference there would be between hatching different plec eggs (if there is any) but I hatched my bn eggs just in a fry trap with an air stone. Have done that twice now. As long as there is water circulating around.

hatching is a very vunerable time for them, I wondered why you removed the eggs (and how you did it). ?
Mine tend to die around hatching time and I blamed dad for killing them but maybe they just die easily at that time, perhaps the water has to be softer/harder or something for them. maybe the temp is a bit high and carries less oxygen, i keep trying different ideas, but get very few surviving young.
good luck
