I dont know why your doing it? I thought people told you sand was better for your fry? you just have to keep stiring it so toxins dont build up, take your time, think about the fish and dont make harsh decissions that will impact on the fish. Increase your cleaning times and cover more bases.

People have told you over and over why and which substrate to use. Its just the lack of cleaning and moving your sand why you are having problems. Gravel will hold more old food and fish poo. The smartest thing to do is to get your water quality stable and maintain it by moving the sand instead of letting toxins build up in it properly because you cant be bothered.

Hello,

Sand in my view is better, because if you only have a small 1cm base, the Ls can dig in it, there is less chance of biological build up and does not change the water parameters. I would not change sand for gravel at all. It seems that you are constantly changing your tanks interior. Settle and stick to something you have without changing it weekly etc. It all takes time. cheers jk

if you have fry then sand is better because the fine particles of fry food fall between the gravel stones and the fish cant eat.

Why bother messing about and upsetting the fish. You fish keeping habits have me scratching my head :dk:

Borrowing fish for a week or moving them around or making changes that are not needed, it is all NOT in the best interest of the fish!

Over 24 hours and numerous members telling you not to change to gravel you still stay " I hope they will as happy with gravel"

Really, why ask for help when you don't heed the advice given? If you don't want to listen to experienced fishkeepers and breeders advise you then don't ask.

you say you have to put the gravel in just because you have already brought it? thats just backwards. you brought the sand too but are willing to waste that, even though your fish are happy in it, breeding in it, and umpteen breeders have told you to keep it.

at the end of the day, do what you want to do, but if you aren't interested in the other members advice, then stop posting threads asking for it

look it is not easy. sell the gravel or keep it for the next tank if needed. just because you have it, does not mean you should use it. In all fairness you did ask us a question and we all responded. I am sorry for your situation, however knowbody is aware of this. Again I ask you, why do you want to replace the sand with the gravel ? For what purpose, different fish or just because you have it ? thanks jk

This is ridiculous.. you are the one who keeps asking and asking the same questions over and over again. The health of your fish depends on you pulling your finger out and cleaning your tank for christs sake. It will NOT be helped by changing the sand to gravel because you WILL let that get in a state too. Just improve your cleaning routine and reep the benefits..

This answer i have stated at least 4 times myself! and other people have told you this too.. Take the advice or dont but dont get angry because you are not hearing what you want.
