Upgraded this week, to a 1 metre tank.

No plecs (yet) hope to remedy that with a Singapore import.

Still needs some more stuff in it, the wood went in yesterday, may change the bin liner background to a more solid black, it's a work in progress!

Occupants are

12ish neons
10 penguin tetra
3 denison barbs
1 syno eup.
2 rams
2 apisto cacatuoides (pair)
2 angels
2 c. panda
2 c. aeneus
2 shrimps that are at least 4 years old

Edit - Doesn't PP like Flickr?

Let's try photobucket

Looking good mate, very nice! Pics are ok too lol......definately get shot of the bin liner....a big pet hate
It comes out worse in photos than real life but I think it will get changed.

Will be a PITA to change, that much water is heavy

I did have a fluval once it was great it did a fantastic job of holding the door open
lol well mine works a treat so afraid can't agree from personal experience. Mine could be a minority of the 405's produced. I even had a colony of cherry shrimp breeding and living in there, baby plecs too so maybe they were keeping my filter running I don't know. Runs my 400 litre planted tank pretty well.

I know eheim is a top make but have to stand up for my 405.

Eheim is pretty limited here and had good experience with a Tetratec in the UK so bought it.

It has been running continuously for over 3 years now, hasn't missed a beat so far.

Good looking tank Mike but the bin bag has to go. lol  The Tetratecs have been a mixed bag here lately, they were a fantastic filter when we first got them, like yours mine has been running now since they first came out without missing a beat, but they did go though a horrendous period of leaker's due to a faulty tap adapter which wasn't good:wb:But glad to say the problem has seemingly been fixed

Hey Derek, long time, thanks.

Yes i know about the liner ;) will rectify this week.

Touch wood the filter has been fine, never had a problem with any of the 3 I've used (ex1200 on tank in UK, ex700 on the missus' tank and ex700 here).

I chased the Singapore list again today, still not seen it :wb:

You wanna chase it some more!
The English fella i spoke to on Thursday has had to fly back to the UK.

Trying to explain to the guys in the shop what I was on about was a challenge to say the least.... have emailed them and just said pass the below onto 'the boss'

I think I might just paint the back glass, assume I can use poster paint or something similar? Would prefer water based stuff.
