If it were me, I'd leave the surfaces as they are and let him do the scrubbing, especially the algae. It will help him settle in because it will provide extra food, which at the beginning is very important.I am going to take everything out and scrub it down, there is some algae growing on the new stuff I want rid of before the 330 arrives.
I've not had much experience doing it but I do use a Kusuri dewormer, usually after a new introduction. The last few times I've introduced a new Panaque I've kept them in a QT tank for 4-6 weeks, making sure they are healthy and feeding, and during this period I'd use the dewormer. Although my preference is too make sure they are feeding beforehand. I've read that their GI tracts are sensitive, so I'd wait a week or so, to help them settle. And I have occasionally dosed the main tanks, for sake of it.Would be interested if you had any thoughts re deworming in the other thread
