Here you go.

Its the redmoor type stuff bottom left, it actually doesn't sink so is just weighed down at the moment with other wood.

New external will be going on next week and I am going to take everything out and scrub it down, there is some algae growing on the new stuff I want rid of before the 330 arrives.

So there may well be a whole new scape in a week or so, we'll see.

If it were me, I'd leave the surfaces as they are and let him do the scrubbing, especially the algae. It will help him settle in because it will provide extra food, which at the beginning is very important.

I hope he doesn't mess up your lovely tank too much :D

I did think about that, I may leave it, we'll see.

Would be interested if you had any thoughts re deworming in the other thread

I've not had much experience doing it but I do use a Kusuri dewormer, usually after a new introduction. The last few times I've introduced a new Panaque I've kept them in a QT tank for 4-6 weeks, making sure they are healthy and feeding, and during this period I'd use the dewormer. Although my preference is too make sure they are feeding beforehand. I've read that their GI tracts are sensitive, so I'd wait a week or so, to help them settle. And I have occasionally dosed the main tanks, for sake of it.

My first preference would be to see it settled at the place that is importing it for me for a week or so, make sure it is eating and then treat it there, I don't have a QT tank. If that's not possible then I would just have to move 2 shrimps I have in my tank temporarily.

Perhaps I am being overly cautious but I fo feel a burden of responsibility to do the best I can having dragged it to Dubai from South America via Malaysia! Also its not a cheap acquisition..

Slight rescape after hooking up the Eheim, the twisty wood sinks now so don't have to weigh it done.

Going to whip tetratec out in a month or so for a super clean display look, the intake on the right will disappear, all the Eheim stuff is behind the wood on the left.

Overall pretty pleased.

Although it may need more wood on the right... just a little ;)
