just an update i have bought 6 of these tanks they are 14x18x18
lids and already plumbed with bulk heads =]
it has cost me $600 for sump pump and 6 tanks =] =]
and my LP-40 arrived today =]
all coming to gether nicely

soooooo wish they we're mine!!! lol... you know you asked me about my fish house the other day and i said i didnt have one......wellllll I DO NOW!!!!

benno you are amazing! i am going to steal that plumbing design i think and with help from mike i will be well away! it is our guest room! lol the mrs said i have to keep a double bed in it for when she kicks me out! no only messing but i do have to keep one for the guests, so i have strict instruction to use walls only (3) so no rows in the middle of the room! better than nothing! respect cole

i will plumb it like this

I would make the bottom outlets from flexible pvc so you can change it easily if its too noisy. You might be better off with two outlets straight to the sump.

ok got a bit done
a big thanks to breamlegend for cutting rack today for me =]
and i cut the boards to fit..
buying sealer and pinting boards tomorow and bolting boards down..

Looking good Benno.

No need to bolt the board on. It won't move once tanks are on it and full of water. You could put a few steel screws in it or even use liquid nails if you are worried about the board moving when you are putting the tanks on.

i wasnt thinking straight when typing lol i am going to get foam tomoz aswell do i just buy a sheet the full size of board or buy full sheat and cut to size of tanks?

full sheet (2400x1200x 20mm) and cut it to fit the wood. Fairlite plastics at Gosford has it for $20 a sheet
