I tried mine with sweet potato for the first time and it was a great success  little stripes of orange poo everywhere

I peeled it all but wondered if it was safe to leave the skin on or do you think they would not eat it?

lol orange poo.

I always peel mine, the only thing i leave skin on is courgette but scrub it first. Tbh though i dont see why leaving the skin on would be a problem.

I dropped a peach stone in that still had peach flesh on and the devoured it. Don't leave it in too long or you find bits floating around

I tried different coloured peppers the other day which they enjoyed but they turned mushy pretty quick and slowed the flow on my filters so won't be doing it too often. They got butternut squash last night and we have orange poo everywhere again now

Strange about the peppers, any i put in are usually still ok even the next day. Might be due to PH and temp etc. My PH is quite high

lol at orange poo

Crickets? Why?
I don't know if you've ever seen what happens with crickets whent hey drown but it ain't pretty. And the smell. I could understand feeding surface oriented fish that'd eat them as soona s they were dropped in like arrowana or oscars but if I remember correctly crickets float so I'd think it'd be difficult to get them to the plecs. Also, as plecs don't really consume items in a single bite you'd be stuck with cricket parts strewn about the tank. Not worth it in my opinion.

I use cherry shrimp for feed every now and then they work well although the 201's seem to enjoy them more than anything else.

I gave it ago on frozen crickets (thawed first) and weighted them down with lead. My 201's tore them apart much like they do diced earth worm,
but the mess was terrible.
The legs, wings, shell etc whent everywhere but they do seem to have enjoyed it.:dk:

Had some leftover carrots from dinner yesterday - they are currently going down a treat, only problem is actually seeing the L144s against the carrot, they just disappear!!
