hey scatz,

i have had my whips bred many times now, and now i have moved them into there own tank and they are still breeding fine. Problem is when they hatch, if i don't catch then within a day or 2 and put them in a fry saver, they slowly disappear until not even 1 fry remains.
there is a baffle on the suctin for the filter and there are only whips and cherry shrimp in the tank. There is alot of wood and algea yet they still just disappear. Any ideas why?

i went through exactly the same thing, all i had were the whips and the cherry shrimp. i think half the problem was that the shrimp were cleaning the tank too well and there was no growth left for the fry to graze on.
you could try adding some blanched lettuce leaves for the first couple of weeks and hopefully the fry will find it
