Hi,

Now there are a few pictures from our trip to Colombia (the green pin: Map):
who has taken a closer look at the map - our camp was on the Colombian side. We wanted to use the afternoon to search for Colombian fishers. But we found only one path at the inland. After about 1 km we came to a small town: Pueblo Viejo. At home there was only a local. Who told us that the other locals were in Inirida or Puerto Ayacucho. Therefore, have no fishes there.

Hi,

first two shots of the Atabapo tributary in near of our camp - Dekeyseria / Zonancistrus sp. "L 52":

------------------------------------

On next morning we went in search of fishers upstream and soon came to a Venezuelan town (green marker with a dot).
Unfortunately this was not successful. There were only a few locals at home. We were told that the others were caught turtles and they do not know exact when these come back: tomorrow or the day after ...

Moin,

On the Rio Atabapo there the weather changed. It was uncomfortable.
On afternoon of the previous day, my inner tent was transformed into a small water reservoir. We had rain again. The clothes were not dry.
Such periods of rain will be typical also during the dry season for the Rio Atabapo.
It was time to find a dry place.
It was time to move, or rather back to San Fernando de Atabapo.

Hi,

Located in the Rio Orinoco there is a rock with a statue of Mary.
(near the light blue markers without dot)
On holidays, the statue is illuminated. Then you see the statue far along the Orinoco.

The highest water level is good to see.

At the front rock I was snorkel after begin of darkness .
Under water I saw only 20 cm through the "Rio Guaviare broth".
There I saw L200 or similar and one Ancistomus/Peckoltia.

One Orinoco-crocodile. ;)
