Hi,
diverted from the Rio Orinoco, it went to San Fernando de Atabapo.
So far, I thought that the Rio Atabapo flows directly into the Rio Orinoco.
It is probably more the case that the Rio Atabapo goes in the from Colombia coming Rio Guaviare and this then drained after about 3 km in the Rio Orinoco.
View to Colombia.
If you look at the water looks and compares its color with the pictures of the days before, then this looks mighty different. The Rio Guaviare is (at least here) a "mud sling" (White Water River), of at least 50 km further this water characterizes the Rio Orinoco.
